Big questions here! I find anger, or any emotion on that scale, harder to express when it comes up against a wall of defensiveness and over-rationality. In that situation my anger is not heard or honored. I know it's up to me to honor it myself and I'm a work in progress.

Great essay, thanks.

I really needed this today. As a librarian I have mixed feelings on everything happening at all times.

Maybe I can refocus my feelings like the furies and put this energy into good use for justice like an online bookclub that encourages others.

What a great idea! I also just want to acknowledge how hard it can be for such ideas to break through the clouds of discouragement. What I like about this story is that it reminds us that people have been struggling with these things (albeit in different forms) throughout history and that we're not alone in it all.

Great piece. I stumbled across this on Youtube just a few days ago and have been listening to these great stories with my kids (who think Hazel's hilarious). We'd like to do the Betwixt app but are unable to create accounts--it says 'log in' but there is no option to actually create an account. Can you advise on this?
